LP Expresses Concern Over Insecurity, Economic Challenges, Urges Tinubu's Action

The Labour Party (LP) has voiced its dismay over the deteriorating state of security and the economy, urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene urgently.

The country has witnessed a significant surge in the cost of living in recent months, accompanied by persistent security threats. Tragic incidents, such as the brutal killing of 17 military personnel, including high-ranking officers, during a peacekeeping mission in Delta State, highlight the severity of the situation.

Various regions across Nigeria continue to grapple with different forms of insecurity, including banditry, terrorism, and secessionist movements. LP emphasized the need for decisive action to address these challenges.

In a statement released following its national convention held in Anambra State, LP called on President Tinubu, as the commander in chief of the armed forces, to prioritize the security and protection of citizens' lives and property.

The party also underscored the necessity for a comprehensive restructuring of the security framework to effectively address the evolving security landscape in the country.

Furthermore, LP urged Tinubu to implement proactive measures to stabilize the economy and propel Nigeria towards sustainable growth and development.
