 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family of the late Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, with a visit to Owo, Ondo State. This visit occurred days after the former governor's burial. Speaking during the visit, President Tinubu acknowledged the challenging void left by Governor Akeredolu's passing, emphasizing that his enduring legacies would be remembered.

President Tinubu hailed Akeredolu as a fearless fighter who embodied courage, particularly in his unwavering commitment to good governance. During the visit, Olowo Oba Ajibade Ogunoye extended appreciation to President Tinubu for the condolence visit. The monarch praised the late Akeredolu as a true democrat committed to democratic principles and practices.

Before visiting the Akeredolu family, Tinubu also paid a visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the leader of the pan-Yoruba organization Afenifere. The president's arrival at the Akure Airport in Ondo State was marked by a presidential parade, and he was welcomed by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and other dignitaries.
